Here at The Key, we recently introduced a Problem Solving course in which pupils use a Lego Mindstorms kit to develop their teamwork and programming skills. So far, we have successfully built a model and moved it around a simple track. We have also programmed it to recognise different colours and to use sensors to measure its proximity to objects, so that it can avoid collision. We have only just started to scratch the surface of our programming and problem solving abilities. Our aim is to create a model that can independently navigate a maze and even follow a line of a particular colour. Come back to find out how our work progresses.
