The Momo Challenge - Online Safety - Important Information For Parents

Some of you will be aware that a potentially dangerous online game - called The Momo Challenge - has gone viral on social media. According to National Online Safety:


The challenges issued in this game present a serious risk to the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young people in our schools here in the UK, as does the distressing content when a player refuses to carry on. With worrying similarities to the ‘Blue Whale challenge’, it has also been linked to at least five cases of childhood suicide.


We urge all parents and carers to read the two documents below in order to learn more about how The Momo Challenge targets children and how measures can be taken to minimise the potential risks of this viral game.
