Jammie Dodgers & Quesadillas - Cookery At The Key

During this half-term's Cookery lessons, pupils have focused on specific skills in order to gain AQA Unit Awards. They have used the rubbing-in technique to produce a variety of biscuits. They made their own party rings using brightly coloured icing. They used biscuit cutters to create their own Jammie Dodgers with strawberry jam squeezed in between.

 

In addition, they learned how to fry chicken and vegetables with various spices in order to make quesadillas. Finally, they improved their ability to use the electric cooker to simmer some rice and make an excellent egg fried rice dish.
